Hi All,

Iḿ tryting to build the complete source for the Boss but i see that the android console is still at Alphax while the market version is already at Beta.

Could somebody ched some light on this?

Regards,
Ernst

there is no problem.

You can see two consoles. One is the "beta" (the one that is available on the market) and the "serverless-alpha". The serverless alpha basically is a port of parts of the ORB to the droid. So you only have the droid hence the 'serverless'. That is definitely alpha code, as it is a branch recently created by juha of work I was doing by myself. It should compile though and you should be able to test IP commands directly from the droid. Let me know if you do test it.

Should also say that polling is disabled in the current alpha, so it is not bi-directional yet.

But if i follow the instructions on this page http://www.openremote.org/display/docs/Building+OpenRemote+2.0+Developer+Releases  an i brouwse through the tree I only see 1 consoel and that is Alpha

Am i looking in the wrong tree here?

yeah I can see why it is confusing. Just go in one of the Android_Console and build it. Just try that.

So, where are the "latest and greatest" sources to be found? What role does trunk play?

Posted by barf at Dec 04, 2010 19:01

/tags for something reasonably stable

/branches/project for work in progress

/trunk synced when I remember to do it

@Juha: This info would be good to mention on the "Building the controller" page.
