I would like to download the source and add an extra protocol however reading the website I can not work out what code I should download from the svn and how to build it.
All the guides seem to be out of date and make no sense.

Could someone give me a pointer on:

  • What should I download if I want to modify the controller and designer (new protocol)
  • How do I build and then run it?

Many Thanks

I have found the code at http://svn.code.sf.net/p/openremote/code/tags/project/Controller/Controller_2_0_2/

I managed to get it to build but had to modify the build.xml file.
I had to add encoding onto the javac command as shown below.

<javac destdir = "${classes.dir}" classpathref = "compile.path.id" encoding = "utf-8" debug = "${build.debug}">

How do I create and submit a patch to be included in the mainline?

Do include code and log fragments in {code}...{code} tags for a better display
Thanks.

Simon,

Thanks for reporting this. Tracking the issue with ORCJAVA-329

For further development and contributions, we do require a license agreement from contributors before we can grant a write access to the subversion repository. Please send me an email about this to juha at openremote dot org.
