Hi I have set up a second designer account to test a new Pi I bought. I tried adding some devices but they would not save. I then went back to my original designer account and the devices are still there but all the panels have gone? Is there a way to get them back - it would be a nightmare to have to start from the beginning again. I had both accounts open in IE at the same time so I guess that might have caused the problem.

Thanks
Julian

Sure, just send your account name.

And please don't login to the account again until notified.

Should be ok now.

Sorry was late here so I could not respond - I am using the designer at https://composer.openremote.org/preview/Modeler.jsp
My account is jules1967 and I've set up a new one called jules1967b

The panels are back but they are a few months old, don't worry I can make do.

Is there a way to copy across my devices from one designer account to another - I want to try and run the motion detector lighting from one Pi and all the front end stuff on another Pi but to do this I need to input all the lights and detectors. This is pretty tedious especially if I can't have the two Designers open at once to for a cut and paste.

There were two sets of backups, saved files from May on the demo designer and more recent from last few days on the preview. Let me know if I should do a different restore or if you're ok to continue as it is.

Hi yes the preview one would be the best to restore if poss. I managed to get the two pi's running and this seems to have fixed an issue with the Envisalink Ip interface for the DSC alarm. I think that the Pi can't manage to cope with both the panels, lighting and the detectors at the same time. It kept getting a timeout which meant the interface logged out. I now have one pi dedicated to the Envisalink and another doing the front end stuff. I can put a post on the DSC install page just to forewarn people if you want?

Yes additional documentation on your setup would be nice. Let me know if you need help with any of the wiki stuff.
