Hy,

I'm now doing my first project with OR, and came across something i can't figure out.
For each light, I defined a an ON and OFF command, and a sensor (STATUS).
Looking at the debug log of knx (/opt/openremote/logs/knx/knx-debug.log) I noticed many "Polling device status" requests.

I was wondering if these many requests aren't overloading the KNX bus?

So i went in ETS and started the bus monitor. The strange thing I noticed is that not all these requests are in the ETS bus monitor, only the group adresses that don't have an actor defined yet. Maybe only not answered read's are monitored?

Is a sensor in OR always active or passive? I defined the status-feedback objects (telegrams) of the switch actuators to be active. Is this correct?

It is a misleading debug statement left over from earlier implementations. So as you noticed, the frames weren't actually reaching the bus. You can ignore the debug output.
