I downloaded the new release Openremote. OpenRemote-Controller-2.1.0_FM_ORCJAVA-445
This one release, which was announced recently? With support for Z-Wave multi-devices, and with the support of more than 10 devices in the free version?
Update as well? or file zwave.jar for the free version, the other?

ps 10 minutes ago, downloaded yet and release: OpenRemote-Controller-2.1.0_FM_ORCJAVA-440

Those were the last patches. The rest of the release will come this week.

These patches should be installed, or wait for the full release?

I see a new release available for download. This is a full release? One can try to update?

Is there a change log? I looked in the zip file and on the source site and I couldn't find a summary.

@ Administrator

Can you please comment on the differences between this 2.1.0 release and the Pro release?
In the 2.1.0 release I notice for Z-Wave

  • ZWave: * Updated protocol stack (Rainer Hitz, ORCJAVA-440)

If I look up ORCJAVA-440 in the Jira it is stated as an unresolved issue, to be released in Pro 1.1.1
So what are the differences between the two? I had the impression the Pro version was richer in features, and always ahead of the free cut down version. A functionality table somewhere in the documentation would be useful. Would help me to inform new users on this forum when and why they should purchase a Pro license. (Apart form the fact that it is nice to donate to a good project like this)

Updated. OpenRemote Z-Wave protocol version : '2.0.0'

As it is now controlled thermostat?

Do include the log in {code}..{code} tags. That makes it a bit better.

With Switch FGS-221 (Node: 3:1 and 3:2) understood to be working well.

Does not work now slider temperature control thermostat, the thermostat will not turn on.

Hello Pieter,

I believe Rainer plans to make a forum post detailing the differences. In short, it is a complete rewrite of the Z-wave stack, including functionality to configure Z-Wave devices through OpenRemote.

Since it's new, needs testing and is released to community first. Will be included in the Pro when it's more stable and the auto-discovery features have been updated.

Hi Juha,
Thanks for the quick response. In my question I did use Z-Wave as an example.
Actually I was more interested in general in the differences between Pro and Free versions.
There have been some intersting community contributions in the last two years. For example
rule logging, serial interface. Those were spread over different snapshots. I was wondering to
which versions they made it.
It is good to see that progress is being made with OR Z-Wave.

Thermostats do not work because the Z-Wave COMMAND_CLASS_THERMOSTAT_SETPOINT is currently not supported - I'm working on it in combination with a Danfoss LC-13.

Thanks for the answer, and your work.
Ie in this new version, I can not control the thermostat.
Strangely enough, but in the previous version it somehow worked.
When do you plan to add support for thermostats:

THERMOSTAT_MODE
THERMOSTAT_SETPOINT
THERMOSTAT_OPERATING_STATE

Thermostats is the next topic I'm working on - I've started with the COMMAND_CLASS_THERMOSTAT_SETPOINT because that's needed for the Danfoss LC-13. I think that the other thermostat related command classes will also be implemented but we have currently no release date.

I look forward, left without heating control.

Aleksey,
Nice Graphics! Did you design you panel yourself? Or are they included in the paid version of OR?

Posted by desertdog at Jan 22, 2015 13:23

It the borrowed the template and details to him. From another application, another manufacturer. No OR.
