Has anyone built a Docker container for OpenRemote Designer (Markab)?

That would be nice for Synology 5.2 users!

I created one a while back:

Unfortunately the instructions are only for unRAID at the moment.

I'll update the readme with Synology and other platform instructions and will start a thread here over the weekend.

I've been using it for a few months and it works great

EDIT: Oops, misread. My docker is for the controller, not the designer. Can one install the designer locally? I thought it was all web based hosted at

Yes you can compile and install the free version of designer locally. There is a thread describing that. I did follow that recipe to quite some extent. I gave up because of problems with VM Ubuntu on my almost 10 year old (and too limited) PC.

Unfortunately Docker does not run on my Syno. Supported models are more the high-end devices:

Due to the hardware requirement, Docker will be only available on the following models:
15-series: RS815RP+, RS815+, DS3615xs, DS2415+, DS1815+, DS1515+, DS415+
14-series: RS3614xs+, RS3614RPxs, RS3614xs, RS2414+, RS2414RP+, RS814RP+, RS814+
13-series: RS10613xs+, RS3413xs+, DS2413+, DS1813+, DS1513+, DS713+
12-series: RS3412xs, RS812+, RS812RP+, RS3412RPxs, RS2212+, RS2212RP+, DS1812+, DS3612xs, DS1512+, DS412+
11-series: RS3411RPxs, RS3411xs, DS3611xs

Would be great to test this approach. My Synology does support docker so I'm eager to give it a try.
