i've created a sensor that uses a TCP/IP call to get its value. There is no poll interval for option for TCP/IP and OR seems to do a call every 1 second. Is there a way i can reduce this?

You will have to change the code. There is a variable defined in ReadCommand which is 500ms at the moment.
This is relevant for all protocols that still implement the deprecated StatusCommand interface.
