I am in the process of switching my pro controller from a Windows 7 Machine to a Server 2008 R2 machine. I am running into two problems

1) I am not able to link the MAC of the new controller, I removed my old address in designer, but when I try to add one it says "no controller with given MAC address or maybe already linked".

2) When I run the controller it goes through startup and then continues to display Unable to retrieve identity trying again in 1000ms"

Ive searched both problems and tried some of the methods in the forum to fix but no luck. I didn't have any problems getting it running on my Win 7 Machine, are there some different settings that need to take place on Server 2008 R2?

Are you using the same Java version as before?

I believe I am using an updated version, do I need to use the exact same?

Check that you have the unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy files installed for your Java version: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jce-7-download-432124.html
