Hallo. I am started to study Openremote since some days ago.
I followed the example in "How to Smart Home" book.
1) The controller is started.
2) I created a panel in UI in the Openremote designer with "Hello Word"
But when I click on Sync with Online Designer this is the answer:
"Downloading account configuration failed : Connection timed out: connect"
I create an account on Openremote designer and I can log in.
Somebody can help me.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Hallo I have investigated on the problem and
I found in the log after I have clicked on Sync button:
Controller definition was not found in this OpenRemote Controller instance.

If you are starting the controller for the first time, please use your web
browser to connect to the controller home page and synchronize it with your
online account.

Could not find a controller definition to load at path '..\webapps\controller\controller.xml' (for version 2.0)

ERROR 2014-02-26 12:08:26,737 : Synchronizing controller with online account failed : Downloading account configuration failed : Connection timed out: connect

So what I have forgotten to do?
Thank you again for any help

On what kind of hardware/OS did you install the controller? Looks like a access rights problem.

I have installed on an Elitebook notebook with Windows xp

I have no clue of what might be wrong. On my XP it runs out of the box. The only suggetion I can do is to try to re-install the controller on your notebook. Somtimes that seems to help.

I re-installed the controller but I have the same problem
I also try to use webconsole and this the message
Controller 'http://localhost:8080/controller/' can't be reached. Make sure controller is running and if it is secured check your browser supports HTML5 CORS.

I have also downloaded the Openremote app for android and the message is
can not get panel identity and tha autodiscovery doesn't find the controller

Posted by goman at Feb 26, 2014 14:51

Now I can reach the controller from webconsole but whet I try to use app console for android and I set the url of controller manualy I see the message "cannot get panel identity list"

Any idea?
