Hi All,

I have working local designer but I do not know hot to restore some older ZIP files form online designer.
I tried copy openremote.zip to ....../webapps/beehive/work/resources/1 and after login I see all Panels
but I do not see any Device & commands - how to restore its from ZIP file ?
(I need some script to insert its from zip/xml to beehive database - tables: device, device_commands,..)

many thanks for help

Stanislav

The openremote.zip file contains the images and the UI definition but not the building modeler objects (devices, commands, ...).
The building modeler objects are stored in the database.

At this stage, an openremote.zip file is NOT a full backup of your designer configuration and can not be used for re-import.

Hi everybody,

After many years of using this incredible Openremote software to manage my Home automation, I'm facing to the overload of the online web designer.

I have aprox 200 commands (never count in fact), several panels for several devices, lot of pictures uploaded to your servers and the Save process of the designer take a lot of time now ...

I love to do lot of tests, but I don't want to pollute your server more than I already done
So I manage to compile the full Openremote stack on my own server, and everything seem to be working.

But now, I'm facing to the same problem as Stanislav ... Recreating all the stuff will take a very long time and will be a very boring task...

So is there a way to get a dump of your database related to my user and reinject it to my Beehive ?

Anyway, I will do a little HowTo about compiling OR on Ubuntu server, and if you're interested in it, I can give you a Draft but, as you can read, it will require some english corrections ...

Thanks you for your hard work !

Best regards,

Mac_Fly.

I am happy to assist and be your guinea pig to make the installation on a Ubuntu VM on my Windows machine. Good documentation is always welcome.

Not sure if it change something, but just to specify in my OR Online designer setup I've only HTTP and VERA commands and no other things.

For the Tutorial part, I will be happy to provide a draft as soon as I write it, but not sure how to give you this ...
