I tried to import IR codes from Beehive. The import works fine and I get IR Commands created under my device, but how do I use them with my GlobalCache? I could not find a way to copy the IR code, or export it so that I can convert it to a GC friendly string.

The import from file on the other hand lets one select the GC/IRTrans to fire the commands from.

What am I missing?

Hi Sarang,

These are the steps you need to follow to enter codes:
You must know the format of your IR codes.
a) GlobalCache format: "sendir, 1:1,1,38109,1,1,342,170,22,21"
b) HEX format: "0000 006C 0000 0022 0156"
c) GC compressed format: "sendir, 1:1,1,38109,1,1,342,170,22,21,22,63 CCCCC"

Use of iLearn from GloblaCache to convert between the formats.

To learn more about it, you should have a free account on this site, if you don't have any account you can get one for free:
bluevolt.com

To download the iLearn you should visit this site:
globalcache downloads

Once you have the codes in GlobalCache format, you must follow the instructions on this site:
How to integrating GlobalCache

If you have a OR PRO account, follow the instructions on this site:
Importing IR codes from XCF files

I hope this has been helpful

Thanks EDGI. I have a pro account, and have already integrated the GC.

The one issue I am talking about is importing IR codes from Beehive and associating it with my GC device IP, Port etc.

There is some consolidation work required on the IR front.

As it stands now, the Beehive IR database is used when using LIRCD as the sending mechanism.
And the 'import IR files' mechanism from the Pro version is used to ease the creation of IR codes for use with GC/IRTrans senders, importing them from Pronto XCF files.

Easiest solution right now might be if you can find an XCF configuration file (e.g. on RemoteCentral) for the equipment you want to control.
