Hi!

I have a problem connecting to KNX. Im using Siemens IP router N146 and already using it with Gira Home Server and it works fine. I tried to turn on and off one light using OpenRemote. I imported ETS file, added a button. I can see it on my screen, but when I press I get this message: "Command failed
The command was sent to an invalid URL"

As far as I can understand, OpenRemote didn't connect to IP router. I tried putting in config.properties file under hostname the exact IP address of N146, name, multicast address...

Can somebody pls help?

Hi Sinisa,

I have had a similar problem with my Schnieder Electric IP router and it turned out that the IP router can only accept 1 connection at the time so it reject a second connection to it.
So I have to shut down OpenRemote when I want to do configuration in ETS and then start it up again when I am done..

Maybe something similar in your case when you run the GIRA Home server as well as the OpenRemote??

I've unplugged Gira HS from the network and then tried again.

Still the same thing happening.

Is that error message showing on your phone? Do you get the same error when trying to connect from webconsole http://localhost:8080/webconsole ?

In the webconsole I camt get anything, the button isn't working at all I can't press it.

Hi Juha,

Just installed openremote on an old PC with Windows XP and now it works.

Isn't it compatible with Windows 8?

I don't think there should be a difference for Win8, maybe the default network/firewall settings are different?

I also have the problem connecting to KNX with Siemens IP router N146. And the log is similar as you.

no mater using raspberry or windows xp , I could not connect to n146.

Hi All,

I have the same effect.
My gateway is the EIBD
GOOD: I can send commands and the switch command is running fine - lamp goes on.
Please try out - if you can send one command to the KNX device.

BUT: No update of status is going into OR. So my icon / label does not change the status/text.

My guess: THe listener is not running - no updates are visible to software.

My Log - shows that I always send the same command, as not Status update is available:
