Apparantly OpenRemote is moving away from end users. The old end users space http://www.openremote.org now redirects to new pages obviously targeted at developers. No explanation to users, no plans communicated on what is going to happen. I guess the best thing I can do is to salvage the documentation I produced to my own github space. Or are the old recipes also going to be useless with this move?

weird isn't it

Why are they moving to Google Groups anyway

I would have moved to OpenHAB but it was too confusing for me, at least I don't need a new version of OpenRemote as everything is working fine for me and I didn't outlay any money

Because it is a low maintenance "forum". It is a derivative from Listserv (1984). It produces nice long threads with the convenience for users that you can answer on older posts, producing many branches. An additional bonus is that you do not need to stay on topic.
