i'm new on this forum, and i'm from poland so my english is not perfect. I want install open remote on ubuntu, but i don't know how. can you help me?
i have ubuntu 12.04 LTS and install java openjdk and i added JAVA_HOME on file /etc/enviroment
how install openremote on ubuntu? any tutorials?
If you can call "java -version" after login your Java environment should be fine.
Just download the controller and unzip.
You will find a "bin" folder which includes "openremote.sh". Make that file executable and start it.
That should be all.

OpenJDK Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)

You need to make the file executable.
chmod +x openremote.sh

No "bin" for JDK environment.
Test with "./openremote.sh run" which will not put the process in the background.
