Hello everybody,

First, sorry for my bad English. I discovered OpenRemote a few days ago and I succeed to create a switch "on/off" with shell commands. It works perfectly.

Now I'm trying to display a 2 digits temperature on the panel (the value is given by a simple shell command) but I really don't manage to do it.

I'm sure I have to use a custom sensor but I don't know what to put in the RegEx of the command, and in the "Custom State Items". I tried many combinations for these two but apparently, not the right one...

Can anyone help the poor newbie I am please ??

Thanks a lot !

The regex depends of what the output is of your shell command. If it is just digits then (\d+) will be enough. "Custom state items" you leave just empty. The one thing you should remember, because there is a glitch in the shell command protocol implementation you must reboot the controller each time you change something in designer and upload it. Otherwise you will be still using the old cached command. This can give you a false impression that nothing is working.

It works, thanks a lot !

I completly forgot about that bug. I used to change things in the "UI Designer" without problems but for new commands apparently I had to. Good to know.

Have a good day !
