having real probs with this software on 64 bit machine! cannot believe we pay for buggy
untested software that does not come pre-packaged with the OS requirements, we are not
all running 14 yr old 32 bit machines.

anyway, that 32 bit issue was related to the rxtxserial.dll which was trying to use a
32 bit version, i sort of overcame that by finding a 64 bit variant and dropping it ontop
of hte 32 bit one, now i get a mismatch, but it got me a stage further, but still a bug.

anyway, now i get this error

INFO 2015-01-03 12:57:19,781 : Unable to retrieve controller identity, retrying

ERROR 2015-01-03 12:57:21,029 : Could not announce discovered devices

any idea. i am signed into the paid for pro designer, signed in, so i know my password.

on my controller i am signed into the localhost:port and it syncs without problem, so
the controller knows the designer, both are using the same account/password, otherwise
it would not sync

yet i get this error.

help please, really need to get this working on 64 bit system. i have team viewer etc
if that helps the support team improve this product experience for other people

this is useing the aeon labs z-wave stick usb 2 thingy.

thanks
Darren

Were you able to get this fixed? I still have it even after updating to Pro Controller 1.4. Would be nice to get a fix for it.

We are currently working on a fix for this problem so that installation of the OpenRemote controller runs more smoothly. We intend to replace the serial RXTX Java library with the nrjavaserial library which selects the suitable native library automatically.
