Hello everybody. Please help me. Can I use OpenRemote system via internet for controlling my z-wave smart home? I mean can I control my home from any place of the world. If yes, how can i do it, because I couldn't find any information about this in forum and also in openremote website.

Thanks.

Yes, you can - I'm doing it all the time. Basically three options are available:

1. Configure port forwarding and use dyndns service for your home IP, or
2. Create VPN connection with your home LAN, or
3. Use global IPV6 address.

For me the last option is the best. As not always IP6 is available, I've created ipv6 tunnel through sixxs.org

Please describe your situation (internet abo, router, etc) so I can figure out what will be most feasible. Also, indicate what is your literacy, do you know what VPN or/and IPV6 is?
