I was wondering if someone could answer my question and then maybe help write the rule if it's possible to do or point me in the right direction

I would like to control my thermostat but don't want to use the slider switch. I would like to create two buttons; up and down so each click would increase\decrease the temp by 1

Can this be done by using rules?

Example if I click the temp up button it will then call a rule, the rule would then get the current setpoint of the thermostat and then increase that value by one and then set the value on the thermostat

Very new to openremote but hopefully this can be done?

If you use Webconsole or the latest Android 2.1.1 you can use a slider for this. Make + and - images for MaxImage and MinImage. For the oher slider elements use empty.png
If you have one the apple thingies you must use a rule. There is a recent forum thread about it.

Yes using Android but version 2.1.0 beta

I've set the MaxImage and MinImage but unable to tap the button to increase\decrease the slider

Can I download version 2.1.1 from somewhere?

I am afraid it hasn't been released yet. I only had a test version from the developer. It is not up to me to pass that version on. I'll ask about a due date.

If you could ask that would be great but if it works in 2.1.1 then I can wait as I'm still building my remote

Thanks for the help Pieter
