I saw on another posting that you may be doing some testing on the professional designer for importing and exporting projects. I just got the professional designer as well and i would be interested help on the tests. Hopefully we find a way to recover my design from the free version as i had some problems with it the past few days and have posted about it on the user forum today.

Kind regards

Hi Stavros, we are introducing import/export first for within professional designer. So we appreciate if you want to help testing this. We'll keep you posted.

Hi Pierre,

So if i understand correctly the tests will not allow to import from the free designer to the professional designer?? Just from professional to professional??

Yes, you are correct. We initially intend it to make it easier for people doing multiple projects to not having to start from scratch. We realise that it is also valuable to be able to transfer from free to pro, which will come. However, that will take more time.

please give an info if this is done. i'm interested in the pro but I will not start with a new project

We are finally making some progress on the export/import for the Pro designer and making the first beta tests open.

If you are currently a Pro Designer user and would want to test the export/import feature, please send me an e-mail to eric at openremote dot org.

Please note that the tests will happen on a separate server, with a copy of the database. It means that any work done on that database will eventually get lost (however, if no critical issue is found, you should eventually be able to export from that database and import into the production Pro database).
